NOAM ASSAYAG

Hi there. My name is Noam, I explore the spaces between cities and cyberspace.
I currently work as a writer, a digital consultant and a translator (french/english).
I was involved for more than a year in the production of
the 2020 award winning documentary Woman,
which I cannot recommend enough.

I think a lot about the many pasts and possible futures of reading,
about the alliance of text and images, with 3 directing principles :

Wordpower. Meaningtouch. Pictureflow.

If you are looking for a wordsmith, you could be in the right place.

In 2018, I wrote a book which has since taken a life on its own : Activating Cities.
It's a pragmatic guide for serendipity in the modern city, woven with love
between Paris, Marseille, Berlin, Athens, Tokyo, Oakland and Bilbao.

You can read the 1st chapter here.

You can order it through the publisher, Circadian Books (Berlin),
Dog Eared Books (San Francisco) and soon L'Officine (Paris).
Mark Z. Danielewski, author of a certain House of Leaves, said some nice things about it
and it was featured by film director John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch).
You can also write to me directly for a personalized copy of the 3rd edition (2020).
